A Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport service where entering just an address lets you look up the officially assessed price by property type - multi-unit housing (apartments, row/multiplex housing), standard and individual single-family houses, and standard/individual officially assessed land prices. The assessed price is worth checking in advance because it's used as the basis not only for taxes like property tax, comprehensive real estate tax, and capital gains tax, but also for roughly 60 other administrative purposes such as calculating health insurance premiums and basic pension eligibility. If you disagree with the assessed price, you can also file an objection online during the viewing period. Lookups are free, 24 hours a day.
